[She'll probably smell him before he gets to her door; faintly of soap, damp, dew-kissed skin, fresh linen... and blood. Regardless, he raps only twice on her door before leaning in the doorway to wait for her to answer it.]
[The door opens in record time, swinging in to reveal bright red eyes and a pointed grey nose, sniffing out at him. Her roommates aren't home, so she's in her t-shirt and her boxers. Terezi pushes the door open all the way.]
Hey, coolkid.
You smell... [like you've been in a fight.]
Like you need to come inside.
[She holds out her hand, head tilted and her expression mildly concerned.]
[One step, two, his steps are shuffling, as if he's not picking his feet up high enough to take a proper step. He lurches past her hand and into the living room, peering around. The apartment appears empty, save for Terezi, and that's perfect.
His arm is still bleeding, a thick trickle from a thin hairline slice, and his knuckles sting from where they'd been split over a brick wall or two. Or six.
Everything about him slumps, as if tired -- and he is -- and he sighs.] You don't got any AJ do you?
I didn't mean it like that. You know I love... ["how you smell," she finishes in a mumble as he darts past, and she bites her lip. Blood stings in her nostrils and she frowns at his apparent exhaustion.]
No, I'm sorry. I could get some, though. [With a weak gesture to her pile next to the couch, Terezi backs slowly into the hallway.] Just sit down, I'll be back.
My hella-tasty candy blood. Jesus, that will never not be creepy.
[It comes out in a low mumble behind his hand as he swipes it over his face. He glances in the direction of her pile, but instead of sitting down he just slowly trails after her down the hall.]
Coolkid, [she protests, reaching a hand forward to pap at his shoulder,] You don't have to come. I can get you analgesics on my own... [She doesn't push him away, though. Her hand stays resting on his shoulder.]
[If he sits, he'll probably fall asleep. Besides, his hand hurts like fuck.
It's probably a little weird and off, that he should be so fucking quiet. But, he's not really in the mood for talking, and so long as she isn't asking questions he's fine to just keep following her around like a lost puppy.]
[And then she pushes up and kisses him lightly on the cheek, before papping his shoulder once more and pulling away. After a second thought she grabs his hand and tugs him along, silently walking in the direction of the communal kitchen.]
[They reach the communal kitchen with little trouble, and Terezi lets go of his hand to rummage around. They don't have separate bottles of applejuice, but they do have some juiceboxes and a large jug of it. She takes the juiceboxes and fills a large glass pitcher up as high as she dares. She rummages and procures, in addition to that: a quart of strawberry icecream, a bottle of analgesics (which she has to identify by scent as she isn't familiar with the way humans label their medicines), and a plastic receptacle full of something that says "chicken salad" and smells good even though she doesn't know what it is.
She divvies the spoils up and shoves half of them at Dave, then sniffs around.] Anything else you need?
